Youth Advisory Council Grant Application Process

Please read the instructions below before beginning an application.

Grant applications with all required items must be submitted by 4:00 pm on the deadline date for funding consideration.

YAC grants have guidelines for eligibility, application and deadlines for submission of proposals.

Step 2: Download application

Step 3: Complete grant application

Fill out the form, print and sign it. Send a copy to YAC care of the Freeport Community Foundation.

Step 4: YAC will review your application

Your grant application is reviewed by the Youth Advisory Council. The council’s recommendations for funding are reviewed by Freeport Community Foundation’s board of directors. During this process, our staff may contact you for more information.

Step 5: Recipients announced

You will be notified by mail if your organization received full or partial funding or if funding has been denied. Decisions are typically made within 4-6 weeks after the application deadline.

Step 6: Complete the follow-up reports

The Foundation requires follow-up reports if your grant is approved.

If you have applied for and received a grant previously, additional grants will not be considered until the follow-up reports from your previous grant are on file in the Foundation office.
