Freeport Community Foundation supports 501(c)(3) organizations serving citizens in Stephenson, Jo Daviess, and Carroll counties in Northwest Illinois. The size and number of grants are directly related to the amount of money available each grant period and to the restrictions donors have placed upon the use of certain funds.
The Freeport Community Foundation is particularly interested in funding initiatives that are collaborative, inclusive and responsive to current and emerging needs of the community. Programs and/or activities should:

Grant proposals are reviewed and recommended by the Foundation’s Grant Committee with the full Freeport Community Foundation Board of Directors making the final grant award determinations.
The awardees will receive a letter announcing the award along with a detailed grant agreement. Once a signed grant agreement is received, the grant amount will be remitted. Follow-up reports on the results of the project or program funded are required.
