“The Freeport Community Foundation is able to provide funds to area organizations through our unrestricted assets because of the generosity of our donors who care about their community” stated Michelle DeHaven, Executive Director of Freeport Community Foundation. “Our grant cycles are an opportunity for area not-for-profit organizations to share their stories about their projects and needs, and for the Freeport Community Foundation to partner with them and invest in the hearts of our communities.”

Online applications must be submitted to the Freeport Community Foundation by 4:00 p.m. August 25, 2022.  Any 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization serving Stephenson, Jo Daviess, and Carroll counties may apply.  Grant awards will be announced by October 1, 2022. The Freeport Community Foundation is particularly interested in funding initiatives that are collaborative, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the community.

Freeport Community Foundation has a 47-year history as a community-based charitable organization guided by community leaders who are dedicated to empowering nonprofits to develop solutions that help northwest Illinois communities thrive—now and in the future!  During this time, the FCF has awarded over $3.6 million in grant funding to non-profit organizations and projects throughout northwest Illinois.
