The Freeport Community Foundation is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), guided by community leaders who are dedicated to providing financial solutions for current and future community needs through cooperative philanthropy.

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide for the well-being of the citizens of Freeport and Northwest Illinois by accumulating assets in the form of permanent funds and prudently distributing income from those funds to charitable organizations.

Youth Advisory Council

The Freeport Community Foundation is proud to support the Youth Advisory Council! YAC was formed in 2009 and supported through generous donations from State Bank, Freeport Community Foundation, Jack Meyers and Sunrise Rotary. YAC is a group of area youth who are dedicated to leadership and philanthropy. Foundation staff and Board members mentor the group and guide the group through the grant making process.
